We took a family trip to the zoo about 3 weeks ago, and it was such a great day. When we first arrived, there were about 10 million field trips going on, but about an hour into it, they left for lunch and things got a lot quieter. Here are a few pictures from the day!
Our favorite animals were the chimpanzees....so adorable. I wore my Fitbit to the zoo and tracked over 10,000 steps. I was feeling it, too!

We never took advantage of the NC zoo when we were there and it makes me sad! We went to the Trembengo Animal park or something like that near Wrightsvile Beach... but it was more like a depressing animal prison than a zoo haha. Luckily Kyle was still young and didn't know the difference ;)
