1 sweatshirt/3 ways

^These girls are amazing.  Teaching them the Esmeralda variation.  One of my favorites!

A few weeks ago, the boys and I spent the most beautiful morning at North Hills.  I loveeee North Hills and could spend every day there.  We ate lunch, got my favorite ice cream, and stopped in to Jarrett Bay to check out their new clothing line.

Jarrett Bay is known for the beautiful boats they make, and they now have their own clothing line which is inspired by coastal living (which I especially love being from Eastern NC.)  They now have a beautiful store in North Hills.

I chose this sweater from their spring collection, and am so glad I did.  Last week, it was pretty chilly and rainy, so it was nice having this with me.  Also, during class, ^ we seriously passed it around because of how soft it is.

So here are 3 different ways to wear this comfy sweatshirt!

With my jorts, because those are obviously a summer staple!

Out for a girls' night last weekend.

And for a night of teaching some pretty awesome ballerinas.

My favorite jean shorts: Old Navy
Sweatshirt: c/o Jarrett Bay
Fedora:  Target

Flower Crown Workshop

Last weekend, my great friend, Catie and I went to Gather in downtown Raleigh for a flower crown workshop.  I've always wanted to make one, but never have, and loved it so much.  The space was gorgeous and it was really fun to work with so many gorgeous flowers.

Catie and I have known each other for forever and always have so much fun reminiscing and laughing and talking for literally hours.

Here are a few photos from our evening!

This crown got a lot of use!  I wore it to my special Mother's Day lunch with my boys the next day and then dropped it off at my friend's house for her cutie pie daughter to play with.

I hope y'all are having a great day!!

Gilmore Girls

I am happy to announce that I have completed all 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls on Netflix.  I never watched it growing up.  (?????  I know!!!!)  Years ago, my friend, Amanda, let me borrow the first season on DVD.  I popped it in one night, and after hearing the super fast conversations, I was like...umm no, and gave it back immediately.

But here I am now, looking up sweatshirts like this one to buy.  I'm proof that people really can change.

With all that being said, I haven't had time to process my thoughts and feelings about the show. I need to do that and also neglect all my responsibilities for a full 72 hours to watch interviews with the cast and other online opinions about the show.

I'll get back to you ASAP on all my thoughts and really want to hear yours as well (discussion time!!!!) if you've seen the series.  I do have to say that I'm still to the end Team Dean.  I DON'T CARE!!!  I am and I won't change.  I wish they had written Dean in at the end to where he's now a super successful contractor and has really done something awesome.  They didn't, but I'm pretending they did.

Ok...more thoughts about this next week...get ready for big life discussion soon.

Also...ps...the plaid reminds me of early years Rory in her uniform.  Tear.

Life Lately

Happy Monday!!  Here are a few tidbits of life lately....

I taught a yoga/ballet burn class this past weekend to an amazing group of ladies at our Stake Women's Day.  The ladies were such a joy to be around...and we all worked up a great sweat! Such a fun group and a fun morning.

I chaperoned Charlie's field trip to Marbles Kids' Museum.  Anyone who knows me knows I pretty much despise the place (4 million kids=4 billion trillion germs), but this was actually fun.  I loved seeing Charlie interact with his group of friends and also enjoyed the one on one time with my biggest boy.

My friend, Kristen, and I took our kids to the NC Art Museum's Art in Bloom a few weeks ago. Gorgeous display of flowers and a great morning being with my great friend.

NC decided to give us a few days of winter a few weeks ago, and that also happened to be the weekend that we got locked out of our house for a few hours.  Noel and I took the boys for a walk and just took our garage door opener.  I guess the opener decided to hibernate, because it refused to work when we got home.  The police finally came and helped us out (so dramatic and I missed a book night...bummer!), but it was a good lesson to have spare keys on hand...and to never leave without an actual key.

Y'all!!!  Noel is almost done with school.  He booked a few of his classes this year (made the highest grade), so we attended an evening to celebrate his achievements.

At the beginning of every month, the boys and I plan a one-on-one date.  This month, Walker wanted to go out to dinner and Charlie chose to do lunch a different week. After dinner with Walker, we walked around downtown where there was an art auction going on.  The auctioneer asked "all the artists to raise their hands", and Walker shot his hand up.  Everyone lovedddd that (including me) and I fell in love with my sweetheart all over again.

Charlie had his field day last week, and contrary to what the last picture might lead you to believe, he LOVED it...all the running around and being outside...he just does not love taking a minute to take a picture with his momma while his classmates go ahead to lunch.

I hope you all are doing so great and that you've had a wonderful start to your week!!!
