This year....

Last year was one of the best and most challenging years for me.  Challenging in the best kind of way.

As Noel and I were discussing goals for the new year, I couldn't really think of any specifics (except maybe do a little less this year....yeah right!), but now I have one.

I've seen a lot of good things going on lately and in the past year, and I don't want to forget them.  Big acts of service, small acts of kindness, laughter....and people doing a really great job at taking care of each other in one way or another.

I don't want to forget these moments....so this year...2016....I'm going to make a more valiant effort at writing them down.

And under my one goal, in fine print, I'll have eat less chocolate and drink less Coke. :)

I was just thinking this morning about how I should really do some sort of journaling this year. That's a great goal. I'm not as strong as you... so I'll keep stuffing my face with chocolate chips at 4pm ;)

I can never get over how adorable you are. You are so so cute! I love your goal too, I never want to forget to notice the beauty and kindness in the world.

the font got so small, but I'm hoping it said eat MORE chocolate!! ;)

I love this goal! I think I just might "borrow" (steal) it. Especially in a world where terrible things happen every day, I think it's so important to take the time to appreciate and notice the sweet, good things that are happening ALL the time!

Stripes and plaid are always my favorite.
Such a good decision. Keeping track of the good things in life makes a more joyful person too.

I do a devotion each night and along with notes and verses from it, I write down the 4 P's--pit, peak, praise, and prayers. The best & worst part of my day, anything extra great, and my prayer requests. It requires me to think about my day and find the good in it even if it was a horrible day. It's fun to look back on too!

I love this idea!! Sometimes I struggle with what TO write as I journal, I love how the 4 P's summarize all the highs and lows!
