Girls' Weekend

This past weekend, my friend, Jennie, and I spent a weekend away in Asheville.  It was fantastic!  Jennie's husband, Clay, called me earlier and asked if I'd be able to go away, (he surprised Jennie with this trip!), and I was like.....ummmm letmethinkaboutthat YES.

We toured the Biltmore, ate lots and lots of yummy food, shopped, slept in, and enjoyed every second of our girls' weekend.

Some pictures from our trip...

^I had to take a picture with my $2.50 miniature piece of chocolate.  Delicious.
^Love the Biltmore so much.  Especially since it's the American Downtown Abbey...and I'm obsessed with Downton Abbey.

^The Biltmore Village (a little area off the Biltmore property close to downtown Asheville) has the yummiest restaurants.  Well Bred was a delicious spot for lunch.

^Biscuit Head.....mmmmmm.....Biscuit Head.  Jennie heard about this place from one of her friends, and when we pulled up, there was a line outside the door.  I knew I had to eat there.  (I'm a big fan of waiting in long lines for delicious food...honestly.)  Worth it.

^Delicious Mexican food at Cantina.

Jennie and I are forever friends.  We like the same things, hate the same things (hah! seriously, though), and have the best time together.  She is amazing, and I'm a better person for having her in my life.

My BFF and I are headed to the beach in a few weeks for a girls weekend and I couldn't be more excited. I was sick when I went to Biltmore so I didn't overly enjoy it, I'm dying to go back though!

Nice! I was just there for the Christmas Candle Light Tour. My In-Laws surprised us for Christmas and got me and the hubs annual passes. So now basically all of my weekends will be spent there. Which isn't a bad thing ;)

P.S. That bakery is amazing!

How have I been following you blog without "following your blog?" ughhh - glad I came across it again. Now it's added to my fav's so it doesn't get lost in the mix. lol. I was going through "Perpetually Caroline's" daily reads and yours was on hers so I checked it out but it said I was already following you.
Anyways, like I said, you're added to favorites now! Hey, if I can't travel I might as well live through the ones that do. HA

Ahhh, I've been looking for a cutesy place to visit during my spring break that's relatively close to home (I live in Florida!). I'm going to have to add Asheville to the list! The Biltmore looks beautiful. Love this post, and your blog :) Can't wait to start following along!

I haven't been to the Biltmore/Asheville in years. I'm really hoping Corey and I can make it back sometime soon and take a bit of time off from Florida. I really want to make it back in the winter.
