Fall really is the best time for fashion.  Chilly enough to layer, but not too cold to cover up all the cute tops...so many fun combinations can be made!

Here are 4 different outfit ideas to carry you through the fall!

1.  Colored Tights

So much fun.  Takes an already great outfit to the next level.

6 things you should do this fall

Each season brings it's own special specials....Fall just might be the best one of all.  Here are some things you should add to your list of Fall to-dos.

1.  Watch a movie you haven't seen in a really long time.
The cooler temps always bring a wave of nostalgia, so choose a movie you haven't watched in a while.  Something along the lines of First Knight, Devil Wears Prada, Harry Potter, When Harry Met Sally....something that you can watch cozied up on the couch and reminisce during.

2.  Make a tasty pumpkin treat.
Because...obviously.  My favorite is this pumpkin chocolate chip muffin.  I've been trying desperately to hold off until fall to make these.  DELICIOUS.

3.  Decorate something UP.
Mums all over your front porch, beautiful fall centerpiece on your table and/or mantle, sparkly/monogrammed/(or regular)pumpkins all over your fireplace...whatever!  YOLO....so go all out with some part of your house.

4.  Go to your local high school football game.
1- for community, 2- for fun, and 3- so you can pretend you're in Friday Night Lights.

5.  Find a special service opportunity.
You might already be aware of service opportunities, but if not...or in addition to those... there's a really neat website called Just Serve where you can find different projects in your area.

6.   Find a special walking trail.
Go for exercise or to find the best fall leaves you can.  If you blink, fall will fade and winter will take over...so enjoy while you can!

Teacher Questionnaire

Teachers work ridiculously hard and I try my best to show them that I appreciate them.  Even though it's a few weeks into school, I'm kinda/sorta just getting into the swing of things.  I created this questionnaire for my boys' teachers so I could find out what they liked!

I absolutely loved the look of this questionnaire, but decided to revamp it with questions that worked a little better for me.  I also left a space at the bottom for a personal note (you can definitely just leave it blank, though!)

Feel free to download a copy for your kids' teachers!  It's so nice to feel appreciated!

You can download your copy right here ---> http://bit.ly/1gvOoAS  (If you don't already have a Drop Box account, you can create one for free.)

I hope y'all have a great weekend!!

Not Ready

We've reached the time of year where the mornings are kinda chilly and the afternoons are still kinda hot.  On the way out to school on Monday morning, I grabbed a jacket for the boys and realized that I'm not ready for all this.  The best part of summer is running out the door and grabbing just a pair of shoes on the way.

Another thing I'm not ready for....school every day and the carpool line that goes with it.  While sitting in that line the other day, I thought about becoming the mom that just might let her kid play hooky every now and then.  Just to relax at home or to go do something fun.

But then I don't want them turning into hooligans.  And I'm pretty sure they check kindergarten attendance records when they're interviewing applicants for the Park Scholar...so there's that.

So many thoughts...so many decisions that I just can't make..so instead, I'll go watch another makeup tutorial online way past my bedtime.  BYE!

:)

Soccer Mom

Noel texted this pic ^ to my siblings a few weeks ago, and they responded with "coach of what??"  So how about I'm coaching Charlie's soccer team this year. Ohhhh yeah.

My soccer knowledge is pretty basic, but I do know how to run a group of 5 year olds, so we're having a lot of fun with it.  I'm actually really enjoying coming up with drills and activities for the kids to do during practice.  I'm also pretty competitive and did a whole bunch of fist pumps in our game last week.  (We won.)

After the game, a parent from the other team came up to me and said that I must be a teacher. I said I was! and thought that was the best compliment ever.

It's so awesome to have all this one on one time with Charlie.  With him going to kindergarten, I'm missing him a lot, so this gives us some special time together with just the two of us.  He's also a really great soccer player (a great defender and a very consistent player...important!)

Hope you had some nice, fall weather this past weekend like we did!

Ready

Noel and I are rewatching The Office, and it's just so good....again.  One of the episodes shows a group huddle where everyone puts hands in, and before participating, Angela puts a napkin on top because...germs.  After that, I had a moment and thought, oh my gosh, am I the Angela?!? ;)

I'm really excited about this fun dress (that apparently has to be danced in), and now that I'm getting into the swing of this school-mom life, I'm ready for all the fun that fall has to bring.  I stocked up on fall soap from Bath and Body Works, (my favorite is the Sunlight & Apple Trees), and I got my annual first dose of nostalgia this past weekend with college football starting up.

I hope your September has started off great!
