Kindergarten Orientation

Top, Jeans, Shoes: Gap similar here, Bag

I wore this a few nights ago to kindergarten parent orientation.  Kindergarten!!!!

Tears in the parking lot. Check.

Tears walking in the school. Check.

Tears rolling down my cheek hearing about the kindergarten curriculum. Check.

Whatever...I'm a mess.

It was comforting, though, that the principal and kindergarten teachers were amazing.  There was a great feeling in the school, and I felt assured that my Charlie would be loved there.

The only thing that I thought Charlie needed to do was learn the Pledge of Allegiance...how could I forget that??!  I came home to tell him about it, and he put his hand over his heart and said, "I pledge allegiance...."  What??!  How can this kid be even more of a rockstar than I thought he was before?  (And a big thank you to his preschool teachers for doing the pledge everyday...a detail I somehow missed!)

I'll officially be a school mom in a couple of months.  How did 5 years fly by so fast?!

Aww so sweet, what a smart boy you have!
And you look beautiful, this is my kinda style! I have been going back and forth about that tote for a long time, I wonder if I should just get it even though I have too many brown leather bags...

Ok, so I teared up reading this. Seriously! I canNOT believe you're going to have a kindergartener soon. Just, Wow! Imagine how I'll be at this time if I'm over here crying for you, lol!

Love those shoes, by the way. And daycare rocks (Maddie impresses me quite often thanks to daycare too)!

I am obsessed with those shoes and that bag has been on my lust list for a while. It's such a classic that will go with everything. Any teacher would be lucky to have one of your sweet boys in their class!

My littlest is starting Kindergarten in the Fall and it is so bittersweet, even harder than my first one when she went! Time, it is so cruel to make out babies grow;)

Oh, how I love this post!

I'm jealous that your school has already had Kindergarten orientation! We won't have our future parents come in for another month or so. So excited for the new year already...and I still have 22 days left with my current kinders!

My mom cried on the first day of school even through high school, it used to embarrass me but now I think it was so sweet. Can't believe your baby is growing up so fast, it's unbelievable!
