Story Time

^Walker always gets cozy, and takes his shoes off when we first sit down.

I started taking Charlie to story time when he was 4 months old; it's one of my favorite things to do with the boys.  Our library was closed for a few months for renovations, so we were really excited to go back and see the new changes, and to get back into our old routine.  The neighboring library's story time teacher was a little.....different (she does bubbles and dancing first...worst classroom management tactic ever, and wears really short skirts), and ours' is amazing.

These boys love to read, and can sit in my lap for hours to listen to all kinds of books (mainly truck books).  I'm pretty excited to read them Harry Potter in a few years. :-)

PS.  Can we talk about this crazy North Carolina weather for a second? On Monday we were sweating in shorts, and on Tuesday we were freezing in long sleeves and coats.  Craziness.  I'm hoping for a pretty weekend!

I hope you have a great one!

I think it's wonderful that your boys are so into reading at such a young age! PS I kinda wish you had a photo of that wacky librarian, haha :)

I work for WCPL! :) It's a great gig. Thanks for bringing your boys. I can guess which library you typically go to based on renovation schedule. And I agree, bubbles should be reserved for the end.

I love, love the library! It's a place I always went to with my gramma whenever I visited as a kid and the reason why I love reading now. I finally got my library card last weekend for Fairfax county library system here in VA and couldn't be more excited!!

I really really want to start going to the library more often, but I'm so scared Olivia will run around and pull all the books off the shelves and people will give me the stink eye. When we finish with this move we're scouting out the nearest library and putting on our big girl hats and making a go of it.

So cute! Yes, let's please talk about this weather. Could it just feel like fall and not be raining, too? :)

I'm not surprised your boys love storytelling. What kind of stories are their favourites?
