September's Favorite Things

Here are a few of my favorite things from September.

Everyone is so excited about Pumpkin Spiced Lattes....and pumpkin everything, and I'm over here like, have we forgotten about the actual best fall treat there is??....Halloween Oreos?  Because yes, they are better than the regular ones.

This book is genius.  It's all of the Mother Goose nursery rhymes that we know and love....but truck edition.  "Peter Peter Payload Eater, Hit a rock and blew his heater...." things like that.

My plaid shirt.  I showed how I wore it 3 different ways (here), and it's quickly becoming a favorite in my wardrobe.

This movie!!  I am borderline obsessed with Leo, and this movie, though obviously depressing, did not disappoint.  Even though I knew the story going in to it, I couldn't help but hate Carrie Mulligan (yes her character AND her personally) for breaking my Leo's heart.  (Did you know she was the younger sister in Pride and Prejudice?? see pic here)

Charlie scored a goal during his first soccer game!!  I might as well have won a million dollars...it was that exciting for me.  I also love this picture of him...it seems sort of "dancer like"...which proves that he's my child through and through.

September has been a great month.

Now it's your turn to link up.

1.  Link to your actual Favorite Things post.

2.  If you have an old post you want to use, that's totally fine!!  Just make sure you link back to my blog in some way.  (You can grab a Favorite Things button on the sidebar if you'd like)

3.  Go visit a few other bloggers and say Hi!  (I've met some pretty amazing people through link ups!)

Happy Monday!!

Yum oreos! Stop tempting me! :)

That book does sound cute. What a great idea for little boys (and little girls who like trucks).

I'm Leo obsessed too. I actually watched Titanic (AGAIN!) recently. I wanted to rent The Great Gatsby while I was on my break, but things kept coming up and I was never able to.

Oh man Gatsby is in the redbox beside my hotel this week and I hope I get a chance to watch it! I don't think watching it on my laptop will do it just, though, and I don't have a dvd player. Phooey!

Hope you have an awesome October! Thomas surprised me with a big ole pumpkin on our front door step. Might have to add more to our collection as I sit here and drink my pumpkin spice latte :)

I pretty much love any type of oreo ;) That books looks like a perfect christmas present for a truck loving 4 year old that I know! Happy last day of September!

I have yet to see The Great Gatsby...but I refuse to see it before reading the book (shameful, I know)!

I love the line about feeling like you won a million bucks just by watching your child excel!

I've never even tried the Halloween Oreos...uh oh. They might be showing up on my October favorites ;)

SOO Caleb and I FINALLY rented The Great Gatsby... & even though, I too, knew the story -- it was just so amazing. Leo was like, captivating. Seriously. I hated that she broke his heart...I was just KIND OF hoping they'd change that part of the story ;)

YAY for Charlie! OMG Halloween oreos... I just can't even start. I'm known to clean out a whole box in one sitting. YUMM!!!!!

Oooooh Halloween Oreos??? Never had them (yet) but I'm automatically wondering how they would taste fried? And I just saw The Great Gatsby Saturday night, so good, so sad. I love all films directed by Baz Luhrmann... Such a whimsical style and yet he captures tragedy so acutely regardless of all the fluff. (If that makes any sense haha)

I rented the Great Gatsby a few weeks ago. The film was definitely visually stunning and I loved the outfits of that era!

Aww congrats to Charlie!! So exciting!!

So I still haven't seen The Great Gatsby because I don't like to watch movies that make me sad, haha! But I know I need to see it. I will eventually!

Woohoo go Charlie!!

I just really don't love the Great Gatsby (the book), and so I was never inclined to see the movie... I'm not a fan of Carey Mulligan at all either - I just think that it could've been better casted with maybe Diane Kruger or Kate Bosworth or someone!

Halloween oreos...yessss!!! I don't know what they put in that orange cream goodness...but these are by far the best kind of oreos.

I know that was Charlie's first of many goals! Watch out 2028 Olympics!!! :)

Note to self: I MUST get that book for Kaden from the library. I LOVE the new version of Gatsby, too. Did you end up reading the book? Did you like it? Yay, Charlie! Way to score a goal! That's awesome.

Oh my gosh, that photo of Charlie is so cute. I used to love watching my little sister play when she was little!
And I still haven't seen the Great Gatsby. It was one of my favorite books, so I'm nervous that I'll hate the movie!

Not only is that last picture of Charlie adorable but I'm a former soccer player so I know how awesome it is to score or in my case (I was left fullback) help from having the other team score. You must have been so excited!

Congrats Charlie!!!
