We walked outside to take some pictures just as the elementary school bus rolled up. (It stops in front of our neighbor's house.) Charlie bolted for the bus in a full sprint, and it took a "Waitttt! Charlie!" for him to come back. Turns out he thought he was riding the bus to preschool, and was kind of sad when he learned that he wasn't.
But only for a second, until he realized that he could still get to school in Mommy's van.
Good ol' fashion, brother photo bomb.
Charlie is going to a different preschool this year, and had his first day this past week. When we got out of the car, I asked him if he wanted to hold my hand while we walked inside, and he said, "no." :( We walked down the sidewalk and as soon as I opened the school door, he grabbed my hand. So, so sweet Mister Charlie. Thanks for giving me that precious moment.
It's incredible how he looks like a little boy now instead of a baby. See last year's 1st day here (I forgot about the "refusing haircuts days") and the year before that here (where he really was a sweet, little baby).
I'm also glad that these pictures highlighted the fact that my front mat is filthy..even though, in my defense, it's sees a ton of mulch every day. (If you look closely, you can see mulch in Walker's hands.) I wish my wreath was showing more in these pictures, because I love it more than any other wreath I've had...but you can see the the full version of it in this picture.
These babies...my best little friends.
Happy Friday! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
