In Style

Dress: Old Navy, Shoes: Cousin Couture, Necklace: Ann Taylor, Shirt: Gap Outlet, Pictures edited by Kayla.
(I've worn this dress with a blazer here)

It's so difficult to find really cute dresses with sleeves.  Back in the day, most sleeveless dresses looked super creepy with a shirt under them, but now...they are so, so cute.

So, for modesty or weather reasons, definitely throw a shirt on under that dress!  This is especially great for the fall weather coming up right around the corner.

Here are some other really fun outfits I found of ladies rocking this look.

1/2/3

Really cute basic white tee under a black dress, the good ol' trusty chambray under a patterned dress, and a patterned shirt under a bold colored dress.

Have you ever tried this look?!

Happy Wednesday!

I love how you paired this! I have that Old Navy dress, but in the hearts print in navy/green- I might have to try wearing mine with my chambray. Visiting today from the Random Wednesday link up, hope you have a great day!

I have a dress that I'm going to pair with a top underneath when the weather gets colder. I can remember doing that in High school a lot, funny how things come back around! This is a lovely outfit, you look great! :)

I love this outfit so much! Now I need a polka dot dress for my chambray :) I'm a huge fan of layering under sleeveless dresses, and chambray is always a little more interesting than plain white. You look awesome! (And welcome back... Missed you last week!)

I love this! Sometimes I feel uncomfortable in sleeveless tops and dresses, so I love to throw on a button-up under them.

I totally agree - I remember in high school thinking shirts under dresses were so terrible (although they were done less well...), but now it can be so cute! I just found your blog through WIWW and it's adorable. Am a new follower! :)

Hello,
The amount of light a material absorbs and reflects may be a factor in material selection. Also, dance is about movement, so the way a fabric hangs or moves on the dancer is important. Thanks for sharing it....
