Leopard Flats: 3 ways

Leopard flats: Target (exact), Jean Jacket: Gap (similar), Red Skirt: Gap Outlet (similar), Blazer: Kohl's (Exact), Jeans: Gap Outlet (similar),  Blouse: Old Navy (exact), Tear drop necklace: Cousin Couture, Bermuda shorts: Gap Outlet (similar)
Pictures by Amber

A few thoughts....

*It's no secret that I'm in love with my leopard flats.  Back in the day, I feel like a print this bold could only be paired with a super neutral outfit. But now, you can take this leopard print and run with it! I love coming up with new ways to wear my trusty Target flats!

*Doesn't my friend, Amber take beautiful pictures? She is crazy talented. You know you have a good friend when, after you ask her to take a picture of your outfit, she doesn't think you're crazy AND she throws out suggestions for poses.  Don't know what I would do without her!

*I am constantly hearing a song that I love.  In the past, I would try to catch some of the lyrics, and then google them later to find the song. (I'm not joking about that).  Noel recently let me in on a secret.  Shazam.  I know I'm so late to this party, but it's awesome.  I recognized this song from a commercial the other day (someone choreographed a piece to it, but I can't remember who!), and I have been listening to it on repeat...thanks to Shazam.

*Do you know that you're now supposed to single space after a period? Not double space?? I am so behind on this as well. I can't help it...but my thumb naturally taps twice after a period.

Happy Wednesday!

I am physically unable to space only once. It's like a force of nature that I just can't stop!

That song has undertones of How It Ends by Devotchka in it which was in SYTYCD (it was the duet that Neil and Kent did together and it was also Chehon's solo last year). But I love the version that you have in this post! Also - love the leopard flats!

i almost bought those shoes! regretting that now. i'm still waiting for you to come and style me! ;)

Katie @ Team Skelley said...

I WANT THOSE SHOES. Does Target still have them?

I am slowly breaking my one space habit. Most of my articles and posts are now a mishmash of single and double spacing, which is just super fun to edit.

Happy Wednesday!

Since when on the single space? I think it all depends on your writing style: MLA, APA, etc. but you, lady, are hot stuff! Rocking my leopard flats as well today:)

I need to get myself some cute printed flats. I don't think I own any printed flats anymore. I like your red skirt, it looks easy and comfy.

Love those, but I think the red dress look is my favorite :)

Very cute!! I have a pair of leopard flats that I wear like ALL the time. Depending on the outfit I think of them as my 'black' shoes or my 'tan' shoes... They work with everything!

Your flats are so cute!!! I love all the ways you find to wear them. :-) Also, I don't think there's any possible way I could stop double spacing after a period. I live on the wild side. ;-)

I have those exact same flats and I LOVE how you styled them!! So cute!

I wore my leopard flats with EVERYTHING - it was such a neutral! But now they have holes in them, hahaha - totally worn out! Lovely, lovely pictures - your friend is so very talented!

Look at how cute you are in allllll these pics!! You know I LOVE me some leopard! :) And yes, I just found out about the single space between periods less than a year ago. :) Shazam...well, it's just AWESOME!!! Thanks for the SWEET & genuine comment today!!! I love you so much and needed to hear that!! xoxo

I love these flats on you! All three looks are great but I'm obsessed with the one in the middle with the lime green bag!

I was just talking about the single space after the period with my former dance teachers. When I took typing back in the day, you had to do a double space. After a period. When I was in college I was made aware of that rule and it took me so long to change. Love your leopard flats with all three of these looks, by the way.

Love your outfits! I'm not a fan of animal print anything for me, but for Mia? Can't. get. enough.
And I just learned about the 1 space after a period rule a couple months ago. I STILL struggle with not spacing twice! Especially since pushing the space button twice on the iphone adds the period, ha ha!

I LOVE leopard print flats. I was wearing mine the other day but I do admit that they are often hard to style. My favourite is always leopard print with red like you have here.

Hi Ashley, It is nice to see you again so soon. Yes, leo print is great. It is so fun and versatile, too! I still don't have any that I could call my own, so I am letting my camo flats fill the bill for now.

I have some ballet flat ones! I LOVE the pattern! I treat them like a neutral lol! Too fun!
I've always done single space just because I could never get the hang of the double space... Glad it's the right way now!

Colleen said...

Thanks for posting this! I bought a pair of ballet flats recently and love them but need some help with outfits. Up to that point I had never owned anything that was leopard print.

3 things.

1. You know I love when you do these posts.
2. I love those shoes and think they need to come home with me immediately.
3. One space?! What?! I don't know if I can retrain my brain to that.

Oh I just got a pair of leopard flats so the timing is perfect!
What is that about the space after periods? What when did that change? I know for a fact it used to be two spaces, I had to practically have the APA book memorized in college for one of my crazy professors.
