Pants: Turquoise B. Boutique Pictures by Amber
A few weeks ago I had a recurring dream that I failed a class because I never showed up. This dream causes me to wake up in a sweat every. single. time. Another recurring dream of mine is that I'm pushed out on stage without knowing the choreography. This one is even scarier to me.
I wonder why we have the dreams we do. And how we can remember some so clearly. I read that the dreams we have over and over can be highlighting a personal weakness or fear. I'm not exactly sure what this means for me...maybe fear of failing or trouble with letting go of control?...(I could improv, after all, if I got thrown out on stage last minute.)
Do you have a recurring dream? If so, do you think they mean anything?

I have dreamed a few times about taking classes at a college, and there is always one class that I forget to ever go to. I remember it weeks later and show up, embarrassed, halfway through the semester (or on one of the last days of class).
Dreams fascinate me. This comment may get long, but one time I had this dream that was kind of scary. Me and some friends were kidnapped and all this stuff happened. It wasn't like really being kidnapped. It was like watching some action movie. A while later (I don't remember how much time passed), I started to have the exact same dream, but somewhere in my mind I was thinking "this has happened before, it's not real." Then, I was able to save the day and wasn't so scared because I knew it was fake and I knew what was going to happen. That's the weirdest dream experience I've ever had.
I was a cheerleader in middle school, HS and college so I've definitely had the "oops I forgot the choreography" dream and it's the worst! You look super cute in those pants...and love the photos...are you on a porch? So fun :)

i love that porch! you look so cute! i definitely have vivid dreams sometimes - but don't think i've had the same one. although every year before school starts i have some nightmare dream about the first day!
Most of my recurring dreams involve car accidents. It's frightening. I've had a few that were nightmares and I woke up screaming. Makes me think "How old am I?" So crazy. Maybe it's just repressed fears.
dreams are so weird! oh my goodness i do have a recurring dream but it's very weird, something about a dog and magic carpet ride!
I used to have the same class dream... But fortunately it stopped when I graduated lol! Loving those pants! Wild and fun!
I have that dream as well and I'm way beyond school years... It's so strange. It's like I've missed the class over and over and b/c I've missed it I won't graduate. Not that it's always true (or ever)... but I like to look up the dream dictionary every once in awhile. ;)
I have one where I'm on a bicycle going downhill out of control and a car full of animals drives by and laughs. Hate that one. I also have one where I'm supposed to sing at an event but I don't know what to sing. Lol
Okay so those pants are so bold and I LOVE them. Especially with those TBflats ;)
Also, I have a TERRIBLE dream once or twice a month...& just about the same thing happens every time! I hope it never comes true, I'll tell ya that!!
These pants are so fun (and look comfy!) This past week, I've been having high school dreams- things like skipping class, not wearing clothes, embarrassing moments, etc. It's awful!
OMG that dance dream would freak me out too. I have this recurring dream where I'm King Midas's daughter and turn into gold. I can't move and in my dream, I know I'm dreaming but can't wake up. It's pretty freaky to a girl who is slightly claustrophobic.
almost every morning i have to be up super early i dream that i sleep through my alarm. such fun dreams...
and those pants are pretty DREAMY!!
Oh my goodness, seeing this photo and looking at your porch has memories from NC come flooding back!! We had an older couple that drove the shuttle at the University befriend us and always invited our little family to dinner and they had the same exact set up! Oh man, it was fun and I miss it!
Speaking of dreams, this week I've been having dreams that different couples I know are expecting. So weird.
Love the chevron print on your pants and the porch made such a cute background! Last night I had a dream that my landlord evicted us and we had to move out immediately...hoping that one does NOT come true!

ahhh i hate that.
i dont really have reoccurring dreams at all.
but i do get nightmares

After watching Nightmare on Elm St. at a sleepover in the third grade, I had nightmares about Freddy Kruger for years--occasionally I still do!
I have had one recurring dream since I was a child that I fell off a bridge into the sea. Not sure what it's meant to mean but I sure hope that it doesn't come true!!
Dreams are so crazy! The only recurring dream I've ever had happened after my boyfriend and I broke up. I kept trying to reconcile with him in the dream and he kept walking away and not allowing me to. About 2 1/2 years later (after I married my hubby) I finally wrote my ex a letter, forgiving him and appologzing to him. That night - I had another dream that began the same way as all the others but we finally reconcilled and that's the last time I had the recurring dream!
Sounds like there is something you worried you aren't prepared or ready for something or on top of it.
I often used to have a dream too that I would be at school and then totally forget what class i was supposed to go to next and end up going to the wrong one and then by the time I remembered would totally miss a class. Had that dream for a while.
I don't often have reoccurring dreams, but they all sort of have the same theme. I'm always running from something/being chased. Not sure what that means!
I've had the dream about being out on stage without knowing the choreography. That one is SO scary. I have some of the same dreams over and over. Sometimes I dream that I am chewing gum and it starts multiplying in my mouth and I can't spit it out. Ugh. Don't know what that's supposed to mean!

I haven't had any recurring dreams that I can remember, but I had a very vivid dream last night & can't remember it now - ah, so frustrating! I love your pants and shoes - too cute!
Wow I have the SAME ones! Always the big performance and I can't remember the choreography (and I haven't been a dancer for almost 20 years!). And the one where I fail a class because I realize I have forgotten to go the whole semester. I have one too where I lose my job (that I had back in college) because I haven't shown up in several years! Ha! Dreams are so funny.
Love your nude flats!
Your pants are so colourful and they look so comfy!

I have one that I am bungee-jumping and the cord breaks. I have no desire to go bungee jumping but this dream makes me positive I will never do it. Dreams can be so weird!

I have repeated themes in my dream - falling and driving off the road while on a bridge. Not happy dreams!
I tend to remember the "bad dreams" more as they tend to be more vivid and real.
I feel ya!! I dream constantly about still being in school and failing a test or missing an assignment...I wake up having to calm myself down!! It's so weird...and all my dreams are soooooo vivid!!
I have those dreams where I'm in college and I totally forget that I'm in a class and never go. Those are the worst. I have pregnancy dreams a lot too.
I used to have a reoccruing dream when I was younger and it was where I was spinning (on a swing?) but the whole room was dark so I couldn't see anything. Sounds creepy but it wasn't. Cute pants, btw! Love the print and colors.

The other night I had the creepiest dream about being pregnant, never getting a belly, and not taking any prenatal care. The needle for the epidural was like 2 feet long and I was in labor for DAYs! It was terrible.
Love those pants! They are so cute and cozy looking!
I had a dream when Mia was 14 weeks old.... that I was 12 weeks pregnant. I guess you could say that was more like a nightmare. I woke up SO upset, ha ha!

I've had that dream! Or that I show up to class and forgot we had a big project due. So silly.
Love your pants! And that rocking chair looks cozy :)
Hi there! I have ventured over from another blog. Thrilled to be connecting with someone new!
XOXO, Mandi @ All My Happy Endings
So cute :)
I don't really have recurring draems, but if I'm worried about something my dreams are often very intense. My husband had a dream last night he went on a third mission and didn't pack a single thing so he had to buy it all when he got there. I'm guessing it's because he hasn't packed a single thing for his upcoming trip. Maybe your dreams is also a fear of not being prepared?
I have recurring dreams allll the time! Problem, is they are so long and complicated I have no idea how to decipher them. A lot of the time I don't remember I've dreamt it before until I am asleep and dreaming. Crazy!
PS I LOOVE your pants!
I love your outfit, them pants are awesome!
This is strange timing for this post because I just had the weirdest dream last night, like ever.
I constantly dream about my teeth falling out.
I constantly dream about not graduating because I didn't have enough credits.
oh and I resolve any conflicts in my life in my dreams. fact. i find me answers there or i have a fake resolve with my fellow fighting companion.
LOVE those pants on you!
I have that terrible college dream of not making it in time for an exam... even though its been years since college. Shudder.
Those pants!!!! They are beyond amazing! And I always have dreams about our house catching on fire...I have no clue what that means.
As a teacher I often have dreams that I show up unprepared and it is just chaos! Haha. Dreams are so crazy!
I love dreams, and try to talk about them as soon as I wake up so that I can remember them, but thinking about what they mean freaks me out! I love your pretty patterned pants!! Definitely dreaming about those!
xx
Here&Now
Those pants are gorgeous! So loving the vivid print on them . :)
Oh my gosh, I love those pants, they are so pretty! I still have those sort of dreams now, you would think you would outgrow them at some point, but I guess not ;o)
I used to dream about failing classes all the time or not showing up to them all semester. Terrifying.
LOVE those pants!
Oh boy I have DEFINITELY had that class failing dream before! Never ceases to send me into a sweat either. Love your pants!!

Dreams... They are creatures of their own.
My story is a little long... but it explains how much dreams men to me.
When I was 4 my aunt's first born lived for 3 weeks; before a devastating encounter with SIDS. The night after my mom tried to explain what happened I dreamed that he was in heaven with these little red converse shoes that had holes in them... so he couldn't keep up with the other angels. I stormed into my mom's room crying and explaining to her that this was important because he didn't have his wings yet.
I had this dream every single night for weeks. Then one night he got his wings. I went into my mother's room and told her that my aunt would have another child, and would be born with an angel's kiss on the top of his head (we call birth marks angels kisses). Turns out my aunt was pregnant and her second son was born with an angel's kiss a top his head.
The dreams stopped and 2 years later; I had a similar dream... went into my mom's room again and told her that my aunt would have a daughter with an angels kiss on her back. Again it came true...
Since I was a child... I have believed that TC (her first son) was my guardian angel and that he passed messages through my dreams. Helping me through my fears; and inspiring me to reach my dreams!
Crazy, I know. But sometimes there are moments in life that make us believe in more than we can (actually) see.
xoxo
OH! and I loooove your pants! Way cute!!
xoxo
first, cute pants my dear! And I have similar recurring dream where I show up to teach aerobics and I can't get the music to work and the class is almost over when I finally get it working. And one when I was little that elephants stomped out my whole family, at my elementary school. ???

Why is it that only our nightmares repeat...never the good ones? I have never once dreamed the same good dream.
I danced my whole life all through college and sometimes now when I get the chance. I have def had the reoccurring dream about being on stage and not knowing the choreography. I also have the reoccurring dream of doing so many pirouettes that I can't count. All I have to do it spot my head and I just keep turning. Haha. Probably cause turns were always my weakness.
