NC Blogger Meet Up

Me, Angela, and Lauren

Angela and I co-hosted our first North Carolina Blogger Meet up this past weekend, (NC Blogger Buzz), and had a wonderful time getting to know some amazing local bloggers.

We wanted everyone to leave feeling inspired, so along with deciding to host these meet ups quarterly, we chose to have a speaker and an open discussion about various blogging topics.  Lauren spoke to us this go around, and she did such a fantastic job.  Spring is a time for refueling, so we discussed ways to feel inspired and how to use that inspiration to stay fresh with new ideas.

Angela and I also were able to work with some amazing sponsors so that each lady left with a fun swag bag full of headbands, pens/sharpies, coupons, and other goodies.  Cousin Couture and Silpada also provided us with 2 awesome giveaways.

A big thank you to everyone who came.  I loved meeting so many awesome ladies this weekend! Angela and I have already started planning our summer meet up, and are really excited about some ideas we've been tossing back and forth!

Have you ever attended a blogger meet up?  If so, I want to hear about it!  Hope you all had a great weekend.

PS.  April's Favorite Things link up is tomorrow (along with an awesome giveaway)!  I look forward to reading your posts!

I know I mentioned it already in the email, but I really hope I can make the summer one. This was the last time we had to schedule for the train, and of course it was delayed over an hour. Looks like a blast, and I'm so ready for summer.

Kudos to you Miss Party Planner!!!!! I hosted the DFW Bloggers Spring Meet Up last Saturday and we had a blast too. In the beginning, I wanted to have a fun activity for us to do together but not take much time. Thus, I chose bowling. Fortunately, there is a fabulous new residential/commercial development on the west side of Downtown Fort Worth with a bowling alley, movie theater, restaurants, nightclubs, retail shops, etc that's PERFECT for a blogger event.

I've attended two previous DFW Blogger Events and had a BLAST with these lovely ladies. The first one we met at a painting studio where we painted bluebonnets on canvas and drank a bunch of wine. It was a great icebreaker and introduction. At Christmas, a couple of the girls coordinated an Ornament Swap at a local wine bar. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers, then played a fun "white elephant" game for swapping ornaments. Afterwards, a group of us went to Bar Louie's for more drinks and laughs. We saw a guy dressed as Trampy Santa. I'm not joking when I say he had a string of lights inside his red tights. He was obviously drinking the good stuff and had a goooood time!!!

This comment is forever long, but I hope you will keep planning blogger events. They are so much fun and so rewarding for all participants. My favorite part is introducing "newbies" to bloggers I already know and love.

Happy Blogging!
Happy Monday!
Big hugs!

Meet ups really are fun. I have done a SoCal one- where we spend the day shopping at all these awesome unique shops in Orange City-- many of which have little swag to give us bloggers when we come in, then it ends with a dinner and a speaker (last time Mark Montoyo sp? from TLC).

This weekend going to a mini one at a restaurant that the restaurant is sponsoring as they want us to blog about their new menu and then the week after that going to an all day crafting/blogging one :)
