Special Times

There is something so special about the time right after baby baths every night.  Even though I am completely soaked in bath water and have absolutely no makeup left on my face, my boys are extra cuddly...and there's nothing better than cuddly babies.

Last night, we were reading President Uchtdorf's book, Sister Eternal...a book that I adore.  It's a story of how to love, the importance of sacrifice, and the beauty that comes from celebrating the light in the middle of dark times.  All lessons that I hope my boys will learn and understand.  (And ones that I need reminding of as well.)

I hope you all had a beautiful weekend.  The weather was so good to us here in NC!

Such a beautiful picture, Ashley. I love that time as well. Every night when I read to Paige, I let her pick out a book to read. Well last night, she picked out a "special" book from a shelf in her room about sisters. We had such a sweet time reading it together and talking about Blaire (who was fast asleep). Another good we one read recently was called "Voices in the Park" by Anthony Browne. I literally read through it three times because it was that good and helped us see through different perspectives. You need to check it out.

Well, Happy Monday, Lady! :)

Post bathtime snuggles are the best! They are all soft and sweet smelling, times to cherish for sure.
That sounds like a wonderful book, I'll have to look that one up. Thanks for sharing it!

Wow, you're in NC? My husband and I lived in North Carolina 9 months ago. He played football at Western Carolina University. Such a beautiful state!

My kids are a little too old to be snuggling with after bath time. I really miss the smell of their clean heads after using baby shampoo!

I'm so glad that you're growing little bookworms in your NC garden - what is their favourite book right now?

I also cherish that bath / post-bath time. Sometimes I put Maile in the bath a bit early, just to stretch out that hour or so before bed ... it's such a happy, peaceful, warm time of day!

Lovely photo, mama. And such a sweet blog.
