A different kind of shopping...

(Out with Mommy while big brother is in school.)

I'm actually not a big shopper.  Mainly because I want to buy everything when I do go in a store.  I can't, and I don't....but I want to.  When I'm feeling like I need a shopping spree, snapping a picture of things I'm swooning over gives me just the fix I need.

Here are some things I've put in my imaginary shopping cart.

I need a new bathing suit, right?  :-)

I'm also excited to be co-hosting Falling for Friday this week.

I'm diggin' that Target shelf too! When I go into home goods store's I just day dream about what all I'd do if I could afford it!!

I'm on the hunt for a bathing suit. Especially now before they cost a fortune!

You do NEED a new bathing suit. You deserve one! I'm also wanting a pair of jeans in every color...we should probably go ahead and just make that happen.

And you know what? If you don't get a bathing suit now, come May they will be all gone! ;)

I've read that they put out swimsuits at this time of year because many wealthy/upper-class people take cruise vacations during January. I think that is a dumb reason to display them, though...most of us can't leave work for a cruise in winter!

Target displays make me want to re-design my kitchen at least twice a season.

That is exactly why I don't shop more, it just makes me WANT too much! I should try your trick of photographing things and see if it works for me too ;)

I love the link-up, gotta get my act together so I can join in the fun!

Maybe I should try this taking-pictures-instead-of-buying-thing! It seems like every year when the bathing suits in the racks I think the same thing: Really!? already!? I'm always amazed haha.

I bought a few pairs of colored jeans last weekend and told myself the same thing- "Oh I need a pair in each color!" ha

I love that top from Old Navy! I noticed Target has out all their cute, springy stuff. I had to make myself walk right on by because I spent plenty of money organizing our house this past week.

Also, I LOVE THIS LINK UP.

WHY does anthropology have to be so expensive?!? It's like I need to get a job just to get the employee discount ;)

Oh if only we could all shop at Anthro - seriously wondering who does? No one I know! :) ha! But we can all dream! Love that Target display too - I have honestly been avoiding Target for the last month because I've seen IG pics of that display and I know I would not be able to resist coming home with SOMETHING. :) Thanks for cohosting the Falling for Friday link up! nice to meet you! Following on Bloglovin now! Love, Emily

I have the same problem you do. When I go shopping, I get overwhelmed because I want everything. I did just find a clearance bathing suit at Target for 3 dollars. It's gorgeous and I'm super happy. Out of season clothing is great cause it's always cheaper. :-)

Ok totally drooling over that anthro skirt! Wow!! It's funny because I was just "window shopping" today and taking phone pics of things I liked since I don't have the money right now :) So awesome that I'm not alone in that! Haha. That target display totally makes me want to decorate everything! They have the prettiest home stuff.

Everyone needs a new swimming suit. I've had my eye on some for quite a while, but I can't decide! I shop like that too. Unless I absolutely love it, I think about it for a long time. If I find myself coming back to it a lot and wishing I had bought it, then it's worth it.

chrystinanoel.com said...

These are all thoughts that would go through my head at some point. I'm glad I'm not the only one :)

Care said...

This post rocks my world- that is EXACTLY what I do in my head when I shop-..... oh if only money did grow on a lil tree...:) Love you picks:)

carrieburke said...

I do something similar to when there's too many things I want to buy: I find them online and keep them open in tabs for a few days and just stare at the items I want :P

And that antropologie skirt is so cute! I would buy it if it was about $100 cheaper....
