Yearbook

Can you believe I lost my high school senior year book?  My sister (who is a senior at the same school) took these hilarious pictures on her phone of the school's copy.  Some things I learned about my 18 year old self....  I was weirdly obsessed with thick hoop earrings, I wasn't aware that hair straighteners existed, and my life revolved around dance.  10 years later, I've waxed those brows, straightened out the hair, and am now loving life with 2 sweet baby boys (who seem to take after that chunky baby in the first picture).  And yes, I'm still a little in love with dance.   :-)

Have you looked through your old yearbooks lately?

Oh how fun! You made high school look good! That was not the case for me, I don't think I have the guts to post any of HS online, hahaha! My eyebrows were something else! Thanks for sharing these!

Haha, it's so fun to look back, and almost horrifying. I always think "did I really not see that my eyebrows needed tweezing?? and WHY did my mother let me out of the house wearing that?!" LOL

Stop by and say hello @ srrraah.com :)

Happy Friday!

Sounds like you had a great time in high school! It's also good to know your "bessed" dressed ability lives on. So funny they spelled best like that! Ha ha ;).

This is the bessed post you've ever written. EVER! I mean seriously. I know we grew up in Kinston, but that is just ridiculous. I am so glad you posted this. I want to go look at mine now!

Hope you'll find it when or where you least expect to. My school photos make me smile - generally they are ok, but some hair-dos are just waaay too 80s! :)

I LOVE this idea! I want to do it. My yearbooks are all in Alabama and I'll be taking some pictures this Christmas to share on the blog. I look through old yearbooks and old pictures ALL the time. My first thought from the first pictures was, 'Ashley's son looks just like her!' :)

Ashlyn said...

"Bessed" hahaha I am cracking up at work over this post. I haven't looked at my senior yearbook in forever. Truthfully, I'm not in it very much. I blame it on my enemy relationship with the editor...

You were a busy, busy girl, but at least you were the bessed dressed!

I don't have my hs yearbooks anymore. My sister sat outside looking at them one night and left them out. It poured rain that night, so they were all ruined. I'd love to go back through them!

You're brave! I'm too scared to look at my HS photo album and my overly teased hair (yes i still teased my hair past the 80's)

Kate @ Daffodils said...

haha that is too much! It almost makes me want to pull my senior book out!

Let's not even talk about my yearbook pictures, hair straighteners didn't even exist like they do now, I had a flat clamp like tool I used (and it didn't even work that well). Fun fact, my future sister-in-law was a senior when I was a freshman, so we were both in the same yearbook (we didn't know each other then though).

Caroline said...

You were such an involved student! It is so hilarious looking back at old yearbooks!

How sad that you lost it! And weren't you quite the over-achiever :) I don't think we had big spotlights of us like that even our senior years-- I will have to go dig through and see if I can find mine now :)

Bessed... so funny! You were quite the accomplished high school student! I barely survived two years of french... foreign languages are not my cup of tea. :P I do, however, remember making a delicious buche de noel for my class project! :)
