Ohhhh....the State Fair. I said I would never, ever take my children there. But somehow....here I am....at the fair. I mainly went to make sure my dad didn't hype Charlie and Walker up on too much sugar, but it seems that they ended up with the good sugary stuff anyways. (I found out that the boys LOVE cotton candy.) The horse ride was definitely the highlight of the day. How cute are these little cowboys?? And how about this chicken?? At least I think it's a chicken (I kept calling animals by the wrong name, much to the amusement of my dad and the animal guys). But I've decided that if I was a chicken, I'd be this one.

I went to one of my state's county fairs back in August and it was so much fun! My favorite part is always the food (the animals are second!)

i've never been a fan of fairs - maybe it's because every summer i went there as a camp counselor and it was a nightmare. but i'm pretty sure when i have kids i'll go!
I was just in Dallas this weekend and it was the last weekend of the state fair. It's a HUGE production but I can't see much point in going without children as a lot of the activities are geared toward the younger set. Or the crowd that likes really unhealthy fried stuff. I like your pictures of the little cowboys. I think I can find almost an identical picture from when I was little
haha zoey mostly cried. She was terrified of the animals, terrified that people were getting hurt on the rides, didn't enjoy the crowds, didn't appreciate the pig races... who's gonna watch the demo derby's with me?

Fairs are awesome. Overpriced and greasy food, expensive games, and horses :) how much better can it get? ;)

Never been to the state fair but I'm a country girl at heart. Love fancy chickens! I swear I will have one before I die. My son has that same cowboy hat! Looks like you all had a good time :)

I love going to the fair. We go every year here and have so much fun! I'm a grown woman and I still love cotton candy. :)

We went Friday and it was SO crowded!!! I love how the kids got to wear hats on the pony rides-lol!
Those cowboy hats are the cutest, they look like they had so much fun!
One thing I miss about living in a small town..the fair! I used to look forward to it all summer!
