Here are some of my favorite things from August!
Summer fun. Some pretty great date nights with my Noel and some awesome girls' nights with my sisters.
I love that the boys are playing with each other these days. Just what brothers are for. Can you tell that they're brothers in the picture on the left? :-) The picture on the right is when I took them to the temple a week ago to walk around the beautiful grounds.
My JCrew elephant necklace! I've talked about it before, but I seriously love this necklace. It's nice having a light-weight necklace that goes with everything. Also, I talked about these earrings here. Coral is my new neutral. And I got them from The Purple Polka Dot for $8. Can't beat that!
I annoy myself so much when I read books. Whenever I get even a little nervous about what's going to happen, I skip a few pages paragraphs to see what's going to happen. This one was definitely a page turner for me...but I still have mixed feelings about the ending. There was one big moment that I knew what was going to happen and thought, "Really?? Really?!"....the same feelings as Jacob imprinting on Renesmee. It's weird at first, but then it works it self out...kind of.
Snuggle snoozes are what I miss most about little, teeny babies. While we were at the beach earlier this month, Walker snuggled right up to me on a rainy morning and took a snuggle snooze with his Mommy. I loved every second of it.
Honorable Mention
Have you seen this? My heart was beating fast the ENTIRE TIME. Probably not one that I'll watch again, but I thought it was pretty entertaining.

I felt this same way in both situations when I read those books as well! I think during Breaking Dawn I may have actually set the book down in disgust for a few moments. :)
Love the coral earrings! What a great price too!
Date night are the best and much needed in my house. GNO is pretty awesome too. ;-)
PS- Linky is acting crazy this morning. Therefore, I am number 4 and 5 on the list. So sorry!
AHHH!!! Can you please delete all of the football, friends, & books links except the first! I'm sorry, it told me it couldn't upload!!! Ooops!
And... I have a nicholas sparks book on mine, too !
Looks like August was a good month! Hard to believe it's already time for September!
I think that we have a lot in common, Ashley. I also had a chubby redheaded baby! :D Chubby babies are the best! Your boys are just the cutest!
Oh, Breaking Dawn. I liked Twilight. It was silly, but I enjoyed the plot and I thought that it was an interesting premise. I wanted to shake Bella throughout New Moon and tell her to snap out of it! I thought that the series could have logically ended with Eclipse. Then came Breaking Dawn. There were several times that I set down the book and was like, WHAT AM I READING? It remains to this day, the worst book that I have ever read.
I totally do the same thing with books, but instead of skipping a few paragraphs I will read the end. If I don't like the end, I quit reading! Ha ha
I need to watch Unstoppable! And I love that the boys are playing together- so sweet!
love your blog! I'm a new follower :) look forward to reading your posts!

LOVE this post!
I'm always nervous when I start a Nicholas Sparks book. I know I'll cry my eyes out... but I never know if it's because I'm so happy or heart broken! He writes such good love stories, and the worst (in a good way) heart break stories!
Way fun post, Ashley. :-)
I thought Unstoppable was a great flick but I've not watched it again either. Though this may sound odd, sometimes, it was bit too slow-moving.
Ooooh! You haven't seen 'Downton' yet!? You simply must - it is totally worth the time.
Thanks for stopping by my blog: visit again anytime.
Snuggle snoozes...the BEST! It makes me kinda sad that I won't ever get those again...my girls are too cool for that now...and probably too big! ;) What a fun month and a blessed life you live, Ashley!! Love ya to pieces! Happy weekend!
xo,
Shanna
I cant remember if I have seen unstoppable or not, I think I may have :)
Cute pictures of your boys.
Haha! I felt the same way about Jacob imprinting on the baby! I haven't read this Sparks novel yet. I just finished his "The Lucky One" and really enjoyed it. I may check this one out next! :)
loveee this entire post. Is that book good? I usually LOVE nick sparks but a recommendation always helps, too :)
Lovely Little Rants
My boys are finally playing together. Gabriel will be 11 months in a few days and finally plays all day long with big brother. I love it!

Your boys are so adorable!!! And I LOVE the elephant necklace! J.Crew has the best stuff. Coral is one of my go to colors too and I can't believe you got those earrings for $8 - good deal!! xoxo Niki
oh those EARRINGS!!! too much. Love them.
Wow you and your sisters must come from a great gene pool you are so beautiful! Love this great list of gorgeous things
I've read and own all Nicholas Sparks books save that one! Have to remember to pick it up. I hope September is an even more wonderful month for you and your family xoxox
I will read the end of a book if things get to stressful and I need to know how it all ends. It doesn't ruin the book for me, it just allows me to relax and enjoy every part. :) Oh and the Renesmee thing...I was rolling my eyes at that. I saw it coming a mile away.
Aww! The brothers pictures are SO super sweet. :) And I did see that movie...I'm pretty much a sucker for anything with Denzel. Isn't he the most awesome actor? Just realized this was the last film (I think?) made by Tony Scott, who just passed away! Sad! But it WAS a nailbiter! :)
Hope you had a happy Labor Day weekend! xoxo
super cute pictures!
and i need to get back into reading... we're going on a short trip this weekend, maybe i'll get some time to read a little then.
and we liked unstoppable, but it kind of gave me anxiety!
Such nice photos of your summer. I also read that book this summer and have mixed feelings about the ending. A little too 6th Sense for me. Though the rest of it was pretty good. I am wondering if they will change the movies ending?
I love the elephant necklace! I have an elephant necklace and a bracelet! :)
