Skirt: Banana Republic, Shirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Cousin Couture
(I look like I'm sleep walking in this picture. Need to bust out the shades on next go around)
One of my friends in NYC asked me to tell him something I have learned since becoming a mother. My mind instantly went to this answer....When you become a mother, you HAVE to take care of yourself. You have to exercise, get enough sleep, eat well, ask for help, take time for yourself...because you have little people counting on you. There are no sick days when you have children. I said that before kids, you can some what get away with a few hours of sleep, or eating a bunch of Star Crunch for every meal, but when you're a mom...it's go time. Agree?
PS. I hope you'll link up with me this Friday for Favorite Things for the month of June. You can post about ANYTHING. Your list can be 1 thing or 10 things. You can tell us about a favorite picture, recipe, outfit, item you bought, place you visited...whatever! Let me know if you're interested.

well said this is very true! you realize how bad your little habits r when you pass them to you babes! I bite my nails ..always have almost like a nervous habit and seeing me do it my girls have picked it up. now im slopping nasty no bite nail polish on all our fingers ever day!lol you look beautiful as always : )
Yes, very necessary to take care of yourself. Also, to listen to your own instincts....some people are so forthcoming with their own advice and sometimes it's not always the right way. :)

The Mrs. and The Momma
So true!!! But the most important thing is venting to your girlfriends :) haha. Cute outfit. I will link up with you Friday!
Very cute outfit! That skirt looks great on you. You're one hot mama :)
I want to link up Friday. I'm already working on my list.:)
I love the outfit! Did you wear heels around NY???
I agree about taking time for yourself, but it's hard work itself making that happen. It also makes it obvious what your real interests are and what's important, because everything else goes out the window since you don't have any time.
When I was a teenager, my period would usually take me down for a day or two. Like, bed, heating pad, sad movies, and Midol. I vividly remember thinking, "What will I do if I ever have a kid?" You kind of just adjust and deal w/it...but being a mom is a never ending job. It never stops. Sick or not, rain or shine...like you said, it's go time!
BTW LOVE your outfit...I recognized the top from Old Navy. I love how you paired it with the skirt!!
Oh NO, I better not ever become a mother then..
Just kidding. Just totally kidding.

I love this look! I especially love that top. I almost bought it but it wasn't on sale so I passed. By the time it went on sale my size was gone. Now I'm totally sad about it. You however look fantastic! Stopping by from WIWW!

I think maybe that's why I haven't had kids yet. I'm too selfish to think of anyone but myself. :)
Absolutely love the outfit. You look gorgeous as always!
The more I think about it, the more your mommy tip makes a lot of sense. There really are no sick days when you have little ones counting on you! Oh and you look beautiful, I love that top! xo

You look incredible! Most moms I know don't even look anywhere as polished as you do. I can't agree more. There are no day offs as a mom. You're on duty 24/7 365 days a year. If I don't get a little me time, I go a little haywire (aka mad) so ditto about looking after yourself.
Yes- as I once heard have to remember mommy is a person too! And you look great as always
i love this outfit. pencil skirts are my favorite. and you look SO cute.
and i completely agree with all you said about taking care of yourself... im not a momma yet, but i am really trying to establish healthy habits now, so that its much easier to work out and take care of me when i have little ones running around.
SO true. so so true. mommas never get a sick day/weekend. you look adorable, btw!
