My life is filled with trucks, cars, and anything and everything that moves and makes noise.
And I love it.
I realize that I will be sitting through my fair share of ball games in the future.
And I'm looking forward to it.
While raising 2 boys, I have claimed only TWO things that my boys absolutely have to do.
The 1st is they have to see the Nutcracker every year. Every year. Charlie went last December when he was only 9 months old. I'm not even joking.
I want my boys to appreciate (key word appreciate..they don't have to love) the arts.
I checked The Nutcracker off my list this morning. I didn't think I could get a 19 month old and a newborn to sit in a theatre for 2 hours, so we attended a student showing where they showcased different variations from the ballet.
Charlie checking out the whole Nutcracker scene when we first arrived.
I think Charlie's favorite part was when the show ended and he could run around and stare out the big window.
And point out the trucks driving by.

Hurray for appreciating the arts! I'm so glad you are starting these great traditions for your kids! Walker is absolutely adorable too. Looks like a little Anderson boy alright!
That is so important, I totally want my boys to appreciate that too. I try to encourage artistic discovery and I think the Nutcracker is a GREAT idea.
