Gender Reveal

A few things to note about this video that went totally different in real life than it did in my mind:

*Right before the boys opened the bin, someone called my phone and cut off the video.

*Even if my video had kept rolling, the balloons got stuck in the bin and didn't fly out immediately.

*Walker has never once said that he thought the baby was a boy except in this video.  In fact, he's said from the beginning that he wants a sister and wants her name to be Flower or Sarah Jessica Walker Anderson (my sisters' names combined)...and even gave his "sister" a baby shower.

*The boys were SO EXCITED about the color of the balloons.

How lucky is this little lady to have these 3 boys as her big brothers?!

We thought Crew boo was our little cherry on top, but apparently this family needed a little extra whipped cream!

This summer was an absolute whirlwind....the week after I took the pregnancy test in early June began extreme all-day, every-day nausea and vomiting, Noel being gone for 14 hours a day for 2 months studying for the bar exam, and selling and packing up a house to move to a new city....all while being the Relief Society president and having 3 kids to be a mom to.

This summer was....hard.  Hard!!  But now....late August has brought nausea relief in the second trimester, Noel done with the bar exam, and us settling in to a new house.  Much, much better!

We are grateful for our soon-to-be addition to our family and are excited for February!

I hope you've all had a wonderful summer!!

Beach Day

Towards the beginning of the summer, I took a quick trip to the beach and took in all the fresh beach air I could, got super sunburned, spent time with good people, and read Me Before You (hated that book, by the way....the ending? Why??!)

It was fun packing some new beach items that are now on my summer-musts list.  This Jarrett Bay dress/cover-up  is light-weight and silky smooth.  Another is this Twill Cap that I've been wearing all summer long.  (Pool side and boat rides as well)

Here are a few pictures from the day.

^Quickly got under the umbrella after getting scorched (I burn the first time I go out in the sun.) :( Jarrett Bay koozie

The boys and I still haven't taken a beach trip this summer (please be DONE bar exam!!), but hopefully we'll be going soon!!

I've been loving my Jarrett Bay clothing and accessories and can't wait to add even more to my closet!  Such great quality and beautiful pieces.

Last Day

I hope you're having a great summer!  Here are some pictures from Charlie's kindergarten graduation (was that like, 5 years ago??!)  Feels like it...but better late posting than never!

Charlie had THE best teachers for kindergarten.  Mrs. Carter and Mrs Maher were absolutely wonderful and when Mrs. Carter left on maternity leave in March, Ms. Scott was an amazing sub for the rest of the year.  I prayed very hard for wonderful teachers for Charlie and I could not have been happier.  They were fantastic.

Each kid in the class got a special award.  Charlie was given the "super speedy" award meaning he got all his work done at a super speedy basically "most competitive." :)

Good friends in class.  Sweetest kindergarten class ever...seriously!

This video is about 14 hours long, but I love the very beginning.  The humming, the change to sunglasses, and the off beat clapping (even though Charlie stays on beat the entire time....proud momma.)

On to 1st grade next year!

3 Things

1.  Crew started walking and I'm freaking out and squishing him even more than usual because MY BABY!!!

2.  I decided that I eat way too much chocolate ('s basically a food group for me.)  I made a goal to go a full week without it.  That goal lasted for a little over a day because I need to live the best life I can...and that life involves lots of chocolate.

3.  I started reading the book Alexander Hamilton because I'm obsessed with the Broadway show's soundtrack.  I watch the perfection that is this opening number over and over.

Outfit Details:

Skirt:  JCrew (a really cute similar one)
Top:  Old Navy (similar here)
Shoes:  Jack Rogers

Judging and Day Dating

A few weeks ago, I was asked to judge a dance competition that Wendell Falls hosted.  I took Charlie with me for the day and we had an absolute blast.  Here are a few pics from our day!

^A little snack before the event started.

^Hopping from one fun kid activity to the other.

We also walked through a few of the model homes (and loved every single one of them).  Charlie especially loved this one room with lockers instead of drawers and said, "there are even TOYS in here!!"

Loved my day with my biggest boy.

1 sweatshirt/3 ways

^These girls are amazing.  Teaching them the Esmeralda variation.  One of my favorites!

A few weeks ago, the boys and I spent the most beautiful morning at North Hills.  I loveeee North Hills and could spend every day there.  We ate lunch, got my favorite ice cream, and stopped in to Jarrett Bay to check out their new clothing line.

Jarrett Bay is known for the beautiful boats they make, and they now have their own clothing line which is inspired by coastal living (which I especially love being from Eastern NC.)  They now have a beautiful store in North Hills.

I chose this sweater from their spring collection, and am so glad I did.  Last week, it was pretty chilly and rainy, so it was nice having this with me.  Also, during class, ^ we seriously passed it around because of how soft it is.

So here are 3 different ways to wear this comfy sweatshirt!

With my jorts, because those are obviously a summer staple!

Out for a girls' night last weekend.

And for a night of teaching some pretty awesome ballerinas.

My favorite jean shorts: Old Navy
Sweatshirt: c/o Jarrett Bay
Fedora:  Target
